1teaspoonextra virgin olive oil*
US Customary - Metric
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer and prepare the sausages: Preheat the air fryer to 400℉ (204℃). While preheating, lightly brush the entire surface of the sausages with olive oil.
Arrange the sausages in the air fryer: Place the sausages in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure there are spaces between them so they cook evenly.
Air fry the sausages: Cook the sausages for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. They are ready when lightly crisp and golden on the outside with an internal temperature of 165℉ (74℃). The exact cook time will depend on the thickness of the sausages.
Serve: Allow the sausages to rest a few minutes before serving. This keeps them juicy and flavorful. Serve in a bun or with your favorite side dish or dip. Enjoy!

Notes
Chicken sausages: this recipe is for pre-cooked chicken sausages. Depending on the brand, there will be about 4 to 5 sausages in a 12 ounce package. Any flavor will work! You can also use uncooked sausages but you will need a longer cook time of about 20 to 25 minutes to reach a safe internal temperature of 165℉ (74℃).
Olive oil: you can substitute this with a different oil of your choice. Avocado oil would be a delicious option. You can also use an oil cooking spray, but check your air fryer instructions first because some advise against their use. If you prefer to not use any oil, you can omit it altogether.
Equipment: air fryer (I love the Cosori 5.8 quart), silicone brush, measuring spoons.
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 to 4 days or the freezer for up to a month. These sausages are perfect for meal prep and you can enjoy the leftovers for a quick breakfast, lunch, or dinner. When reheating, make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) before eating.
